I know what it’s like to lie awake and dream of possibilities. I once saved my dreams, goals, and business ideas in a computer folder named 4AM, which was code for “For Alisia Moutry.” I kept my dreams tucked away for nearly a decade before launching 4AM Consulting in September 2010.
But my dreams of opening a consulting business began organically long before then. I am by nature a trouble-shooter, project completer and people developer. These skills led me to consult before I officially became a consultant. I empowered colleagues to troubleshoot their problems and ask the right questions to take their development to the next level.
Eventually I resolved it was time For Alisia Moutry and I started 4AM Consulting. Today, I am a transformational facilitator.
Contracts come to me because of my ability to listen, ask the right questions, conduct needs assessments, communicate, engage and problem solve. But though clients tell me “I am the reason” behind their organizational changes, I know the truth—the answers lie within them. Everyone needs someone to sharpen their focus and push them to the next level. I am that someone.
My Approach
Over the course of 31 years, I have worked with professional educators at all levels, including local, district, state, higher education, and nonprofit. Together, we labor for the academic achievement, behavioral development, health and safety of children and staff. I’ve contributed to the success of organizations across the United States.
As President/CEO of 4AM Consulting and the Director of the Wisconsin-Minnesota Comprehensive Center (WMCC) in Region 10 working for the University of Wisconsin-Madison-Wisconsin Center for Education Research, I blend the worlds of business and education to develop both educators and the human capital of corporate America.
Whether it’s focus groups, training sessions, or customized work groups, customers receive professional experiential learning delivered with integrity. My areas of expertise include: facilitating, coaching, culturally responsive practices, cycle of inquiry processes, implementation science, teaming structures, multi-tiered system of supports, visioning, leadership development, process improvement, and action planning.
“I am extremely satisfied with her knowledge base of multi-tiered system of support, the stages of implementation science as well as her approach and willingness to research and share valuable resources to improve communication structures, alignment of cross-functional work streams, intentional and strategic collaboration. I will be forever grateful of Dr. Moutry taking the time to listen and providing me with concrete exercises to help me BALANCE.”

Practicing What I Preach
At home, I practice what I preach by always pushing myself and my entire family to the next level. I share my life, my heart, and my time with my husband and two sons, leaning on my spirituality for strength and guidance. I’m constantly working to learn and grow, and I strive to be a light for others by cultivating a positive outlook and practicing gratitude. When I’m not working with clients, you can find me in the kitchen mastering a new recipe. My efforts to feed my hungry sons comes with many compliments. My family will tell you I make a mean seafood pappardelle pasta dish.
